βThe functionality described in this article won't be available until the full feature release.
Conditional Onboarding allows you to present additional training materials or explainers in the form of Media elements whenever certain Conditions are met.
They also give you the opportunity to get signatures on additional NDA's or any other document of your choosing.
But these are just examples; in reality, you can adapt the feature to any number of use cases that fit your organizational infrastructure.
π Prerequisites
In order to set up Conditional Onboarding, you must:
Have a full understanding of the Conditional Policy Flow
Have successfully set up your first Condition Package
π¬ Onboarding Media
Let's say you have a new Guest who's going to be involved with Sensitive Company Data that most Guests won't have access to (Financials, R&D, etc.).
You can create Onboarding Media that's meant specifically for these Guests. Presenting them with a quick introduction of what they'll be working on, along with additional NDA's that will protect your enterprise's confidentiality further.
When adding or editing Media elements, you'll notice that there's a subsection that allows you to trigger this Media Element only for certain Conditions.
Default Onboarding Media - Activates for all Requests that don't qualify for a Condition Package.
Conditional Onboarding Media - Activates for all Requests that match the criteria associated with the corresponding Condition Package.
Simply enable the Activate on certain conditions only toggle, select the desired Condition Packages, and click on Confirm to finalize your decision.
Once done, you'll notice that the condition status for that piece of Media will be Custom condition, indicating that only the Requests that meet the Condition Package criteria will trigger it during Onboarding.
π‘We recommend refraining from adding too many widely applicable Conditional Media Elements, since they actually stack.
β
βGuests could hypothetically go through nearly a dozen documents, some of which might be the same, if the Condition Packages that trigger them are similar enough.
π― Onboarding Success Target
When configuring Onboarding Procedures, you'll be prompted to specify where the Guest gets redirected once they click the button on the Success screen.
Here you'll be able to choose whether the Guest is redirected to the Team they're joining or to a custom URL.
Under the Conditional success action section, you'll be able to add different options for different Condition Packages.
here's how you can do that:
Navigate to Settings > Expert mode > Customize onboarding.
βSwitch to the Success tab at the top.
βDouble-click the Success button.
βSelect + Add conditional action.
βChoose the desired Condition Package.
βSpecify the desired Button Text.
βPaste in the URL that you want the Guest to be redirected to.
βClick on Save.
Once done, your new Conditional Success Action will appear in the corresponding list. This list can be reordered based on your preferences, and the first entry on the list that the Request qualifies for will be applied automatically during Onboarding.
