Adding an Externals Tab

Updated over 2 months ago

External User Manager allows you to easily manage Guest Access across your entire tenant, but sometimes it makes more sense to control access for a specific Team instead.

In order to provide you with a higher degree of granular control for a specific team, we've implemented an option to add EUM as a separate channel-specific app, allowing you to use all of the key functionality within the confines of a single Team.

Let's go through this process together to better understand how it can improve your Guest Governance Infrastructure.

⚙️ Setting Up the Externals Tab

  1. Select any Channel within the Team you'd like to manage.

  2. Click the + button on the top bar of the Channel to add a new app.

  3. Select External User Manager from the list.

  4. Consider deselecting the Post to the channel about this tab checkbox if you don't want to notify people about this addition.

  5. Click Save when done.

⚡ Utilizing the Externals Tab

Once the Externals Tab has been added to a Channel, you can switch to it and find a cut-down mini-instance of EUM that only interacts with the corresponding Team.

You can Add and Approve External Users, change between Card and List View, and look through any relevant Guest Details.
