The Overview tab in External User Manager allows you to view all Guest Invite statistics and user trends in a single, convenient spot.
With detailed entries about all Users, Teams, Organizations, and Requests, you'll be able to easily extrapolate any useful usage patterns and changes happening on your tenant.
Let's explore all of the Overview capabilities to fully understand how they'll come in handy during real-world scenarios.
🔎 Utilizing the Overview
Navigate to the Overview tab in External User Manager to get to the actual Overview Dashboard.
At the very top of the page, you'll find separate buttons to Add a request and Export CSV (exports the info summarized in the Overview), along with an activity index, a convenient time-span selection dropdown, and the option to access app settings.
The dashboard will consist of several sections:
Total Externals - Displays the total number of external users in your organization, accounting for both Managed and Unmanaged users.
Pending Requests - Displays the number of pending Guest requests on your tenant.
New requests - Displays recent guest requests and shows you the growth/decrease trends with a percentage badge.
Access reviews - Displays the number of pending access reviews that need to be conducted during the selected timespan.
The box right below these sections provides a comprehensive overview of External Users, broken down into several tabs.
Users - Displays all external users in one space, including their name, type, associated teams, responsibles, when their access was granted, when it should be re-granted, and their current status.
Teams/Groups - Displays all Teams that contain external users; each team can be expanded to view more details about individual guests.
Organizations - Displays a list of all organizations that you've added to your tenant, also allows you to view individual guests that are associated with them.
Requests - Displays all Guest requests regardless of their status; allows you to re-approve/remove them from the tenant.
Frequently checking the Overview is a great way to stay on top of emerging organizational issues and will allow you to greatly increase your managerial efficiency.
