Additional Request Settings

Updated over 2 months ago

Besides your Metafields, the Request process is largely preconfigured in order to ensure that you obtain all the necessary information to process an invite.

Despite this relatively restrictive approach, there are several Additional Settings that allow you to further adjust how and where users can be invited.

Let's go through these Additional Settings to better understand how you can customize the invite process to fit your needs.

πŸ’Ž This feature is accessible exclusively to enterprise customers. If you'd like to request an upgrade, feel free to contact your sales manager or send us an email at [email protected]

βš™οΈ Request Settings

Each of these Additional Settings allows you to expand or alter the scale and compatibility of Guest Requests.

Navigate to Settings > Expert mode > Requests to start enabling them.

1. Microsoft 365 Groups

Enabling this Setting will allow you to invite guests directly to M365 Groups along with Teams during the Request Process.

As you can see, after enabling this setting, SharePoint sites start showing up in the Teams / Groups tab of the Request pop-up. The same will be true for all other M365 Groups.

2. Microsoft 365 Security Group

Enabling this Setting will allow you to invite guests directly to Entra AD Security Groups along with Teams during the Request Process.

As you can see, Security Groups will pop up in the Teams / Groups tab when the setting is active.

3. Enable Non-Team Specific Invitations

Enabling this Setting will allow you to invite users into your organization without selecting specific Teams that they'll be a part of.

As you can see, after enabling the Setting, we're able to select the No team / group assignment option and skip the Team / Group selection process.

4. Auto-Approve User Requests

Enabling this Setting will allow you to skip the Request Approval Process entirely and will direct your Guests directly to Onboarding once a Request has been submitted.

As you can see, the Request has not only been Created, but also Approved.
